O dia de hoje marca o lançamento do nono álbum de originais do meu confesso letrista favorito. Ao contrário do que seria de esperar nada tenho a dizer sobre o álbum em si. Muito por causa de ainda não o ter ouvido, preferindo sempre esperar pela versão oficial do que ouvir um qualquer "leak" do álbum que circule pelos sistemas de partilha de mp3. Posso no entanto dizer que a "artwork" consegue estar ainda pior do que a do anterior "you are the quarry". Acrescento ainda que me faz alguma confusão ler entrevistas recentes do Morrissey, mudado para Roma e com uma atitude perante a vida bastante diferente do que a que o caracterizou nos últimos vinte anos. Talvez por isso haja grande expectativa em chegar hoje a casa e dissecar faixa a faixa as alterações que a cidade italiana provocaram no singer/songwriter. Na tour passada, antes de interpertar um tema dos Smiths, Morissey afirmou : And the answer to the question "Am i still ill?" will always be yes !, aludindo ao sétimo tema do álbum homónimo da banda. Será que a resposta se mantém ?!
